Get started by logging into some of the applications and services used at MIT

First Day

  1. Power on your PC laptop
  2. Wait for the Windows Sign-in screen to appear
  3. Locate the two left most icons on the bottom-right of your laptop screen

  1. Click on the Internet icon and select your home wireless network
  2. Check Connect
  3. Enter your wireless network's security key and click Next
  4. Log into computer using your MIT Email address.

  1. Launch Outlook (Classic), enter your e-mail address when prompted, and click Connect.

  1. Use your enter your Kerberos credentials
  2. Enter your Kerberos credentials

  1. Complete your DUO two-factor authentication

  1. Log into Zoom.
  2. Follow the instructions in the invitation e-mail you should have received from Slack inviting you to your department's Slack Workspace.
  3. Sign into CrashPlan, and learn about our Backup Policy
  4. Sign into Adobe Acrobat Pro
  5. If your group uses Dropbox, sign into MIT Dropbox
  6. Launch GlobalProtect and ensure you can get on the VPN.
  7. With a VPN connection established connect to your departments network share, if applicable.
