Create an MIT Dropbox Account

If your new team uses Dropbox, take the following steps to set up and connect to an MIT Dropbox account.

1. In your web browser, visit https://dropbox.mit.edu
2. Log in to the Touchstone authentication page with your certificate or Kerberos credentials.
3. Carefully read the MIT usage guidelines for using Dropbox. Pay especially close attention to what data is not allowed to be stored on Dropbox (i.e. PII).
4. Check the acknowledgement box at the bottom of the page and then click Submit.
5. You will soon receive an e-mail from Dropbox asking you to finish the set up. Follow the instructions in the message.
6. Once your Dropbox account is setup, you can launch the Dropbox application. When you are asked to sign in, enter your e-mail address. You should then be routed to a MIT Touchstone page to complete your sign in.
7. The process is now complete. Any files that have been shared with your MIT e-mail address will now be synced in your Dropbox folder in File Explorer.
